All-electric MINI Cooper enters production
Hybrid Technologies, emerging leaders in the development and marketing of lithium-powered products, said today that it has moved into production with the BMW AG Mini Cooper all lithium model. After two years of reasearch and an extensive vehicle selection process, Hybrid Technologies engineers selected the Mini Cooper built in Cowley, England.
Globe and Mail: A green machine with pizzazz
The 2007 Mini Cooper is fuel-efficient, decently quick, practical and compact enough to park almost anywhere in the city.
It’s also a green machine with pizzazz. With the manual six-speed transmission, the Mini qualifies for a $1,000 ecoAuto rebate from the federal government. In real terms, that takes the base price down from $25,900 to $24,900.

While we all wait to see it live at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, spies have caught the new MINI Clubman without any disguise as it was being filmed for a commercial.

The Clubman…..It’s almost official!
Due to be officially revealed next month, the upcoming Mini Clubman has been spotted by spy photographer Chris Schotanus with barely any camouflage.

We previously reported that it would take BMW 6 months to add fuel saving technologies to the Mini MK2, but today the company announced that all Mini models would get the changes by August, only three months away. With the changes, the MINI Cooper D will be capable of returning an astonishing 72.4mpg, with CO2 emissions of just 104g/km.
The MINI Clubman in action
It’s not official yet, but the 2008 MINI Clubman S is about as close to production as you can get without an official auto show debut. We’ve seen auto show concepts and more prototypes than we can count, but this is spy video of the turbocharged Clubman S making time on the Nürburgring.
