Formula 1 update – Round 11 – BMW back where they belong!!

As the Formula 1 season tension rises, so does the driven wining mindsets of BMW Sauber’s racing team. Another fine display of what two incredible and very consistant drivers can do when they stay out of the way of the pushing and shoving going on up front.

Nick Heidfeld secured a beautiful 3rd place podium finish while teammate Robert Kubica followed closely behind him picking up fifth spot. With BMW picking up another ten points, this puts them 38 points infront of the cars which won the world championship for the past two years, Renault. It certainly wasn’t easy though for Nick to keep Fernando Alonso from breathing down his back as he was being chased for several laps until the end.

Be sure to catch round 12 of the championship when the teams battle it out in Turkey in 3 weeks time.

Formula 1 Review – Magny Cours France

Things look back to normal this weekend as Ferrari went on to crush the rest of the field in round 8 of the Formula One race championship series. More importantly, BMW still maintains their sturdy 3rd place position in the constructors as both drivers finished with a combined 9 more points.

As the track welcomes Robert Kubica back from his horrific crash in Montreal, he managed to hold onto a strong 4th place finish just nine seconds back from Lewis Hamilton. A fine job from Nick Heidfeld as well, as he took home 5th for the team reeling in an additiional 4 points to his collection.BMW now dangles a 20 point lead in front of 4th place Renault. With the season approaching the half way point, BMW seems to be pulling out the tricks one by one against some of the toughest competitors in the world.

Don’t miss Silverstone this coming weekend for yet another solid round of Formula one racing.

BMW remains strong in Monaco

BMW kept their cool yet again in the streets of Monaco this past weekend as they went on to capture another solid 7 points in the constructorâ€™s championship.

Neither driver experienced any vehicle problems this time, only the inconveniences of the inability to pass on this course. Over all a very good race for both team members as they cruised to a 5th and 6th spot on the board. Now that they have pretty much found all the bugs in the car and sent them on their way, the BMW team is ready for battle and is not going down easy.

As they hold a strong grip on third place overall, expect to see better and better results as the rounds continue.Next up is Montreal. With screaming straight-aways and tight hairpin turns, this race is sure to be a test of every drivers all out ability. It will take place on June 10th at 1:00pm on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

F1 Update: Neither sand nor heat will keep BMW from the top!

If there was a 4th place block on the podium, Nick Heidfeld would have been standing on it for the third Formula 1 race in a row. The German went on to gather up another hard earned 5 points for BMW Sauber in the blistering heat of the Bahrain desert on Sunday afternoon.

The blowing sand didn’t seem to get in Kubica’s way either as he followed close behind to capture 6th place.It doesn’t appear that BMW will be slowing down any time soon either.After Nick was able to get by 2 time wold champion Fernando Alonso, the race was now one step closer.

Following BMW this season is clearly going to be exciting! Now that both drivers are behind the wheel of what looks to be a bullet proof race car, I think you an expect to see more and more points and hopefully a podium finish for both racing stars.
