P90147083“The design of the BMW Vision Future Luxury is the message of our philosophy of modern luxury, one in which innovative technologies play a key and vital role.” – Karim Habib, Head of BMW Design

Over in Beijing and Munich everyone was thrilled about the launch of BMW’s new concept car: the Vision Future Luxury. And we’re joining in on this excitement! Why you ask? Well, you know the popular saying “outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates,” well this concept stays more true than ever to that quote. This concept car is the whole package: beauty and performance.

From innovative technology and both the exterior and interior design, we’ve concluded that the BMW Vision Future Luxury yields to the perception of contemporary rarity and bliss: an utter fusion of “exclusivity and innovation.”

Here are just a few noteworthy mentions;
It’s constructed from carbon fiber and aluminum

Body/Exterior Highlights:
– Front-rear door opening
– Pared down carbon B-pillars
– BMW Laserlight headlights
– Liquid Platinum Bronze exterior paint

Interior/Interface Highlights:
– Radical new user interface design
– 3D display technology
– Separate Passenger Information Display
– Detachable Rear Seat Touch Command Tablet

We think that the most interesting feature is the separate passenger information display because it breeds the start of new safety measures in the auto world. Instead of the traditional central shared information display for the driver and front passenger, the BMW Vision Future Luxury offers a separate and personal screen for the passenger. This screen is connected to the drivers screen through a touch-sensitive panel. Essentially, the driver and front passenger can exchange information through swiping motions. This was created to decrease the risk of distraction for the driver. Who knows how far this technology will go, in terms of texting and driving. Maybe with future designs they’ll create an option where your passenger can respond to text messages for you. Even with its current capacity, the BMW ConnectedDrive Luxury Concierge service, the separate passenger information display cuts down on safety hazards.

Perhaps you’ll see some of these design features in the next 7 series ……. 😉
