We are all familiar with the slighter bigger brother to the 5 Series sedan lineup – the 5 Series GT, but this is one we guarantee you haven’t seen before. BMW will be launching many ‘first-time-ever’ models during the next two years to help grow its premium product offering. Amongst those will be this Gran Turismo version of the restyled 3 Series sedan that debuted earlier this year.

Recently, the 3 Series GT was caught on camera (sans any camouflage) during the filming of some sort of TV commercial. As we can see from the photos, the 3 Series GT will retain most of the styling we are familiar with in the 3 Series lineup but will have a restyled front fascia with different kidney grills and slightly different headlights. The rear roofline has a swept back look akin to the 5 Series GT which culminates in restyled taillights. The 3 GT will also get a wheel package unique to this model.

Probably most notable is the never before seen air outlet just rear of the front arches. Should we expect to see this design feature on future BMW models? What do you think of this new design? Let us know in the comment section!
